Popular Whites

White would be by far the most commonly chosen colour that we paint. Problem is there are hundreds of different whites and although they seem similar they are actually quite different from each other.

Which to Choose?

Are you getting overwhelmed with the attempt to find the perfect white for your painting project? There is such a vast selection of whites available to choose from with all slightly different hues and undertones which can affect the look of the room and the atmosphere that you’re trying to create. We are here to help with some fan favourites that might ease your struggle.

Where to Start?

Firstly, to narrow down the choices, here are the three main white categories that you can choose from: Bright, Neutral and Warm whites. Now there are countless options of whites in these categories, but we’ve chosen our most popular choices that can hopefully guide you in the right direction.

Vivid White

Vivid White is a popular white paint that has gained a reputation for being one of the brightest and whitest whites on the market. It is renowned for its ability to provide a clean and fresh look to any space, making it a popular choice for homeowner, designers, and decorators alike.

The first and most obvious feature that makes this choice of paint stand out from other whites is its brightness. Vivid White provides a clean and crisp finish that is perfect for modern spaces. Another great feature that this paint offers is durability. This paint is designed to provide a long-lasting finish that can withstand the wear and tear of daily life. It is also resistant to yellowing, which is a common problem with many white paints. This means that your walls will stay bright and white for years to come, even in areas that receive a lot of sunlight.

Lexicon

Lexicon is well-known for its clean, crisp, and contemporary look. With its slightly bluish undertones, Lexicon brings textures and cooler coloured tones into play. It is designed to reflect natural light, which makes it ideal for spaces that receive a lot of sunlight. Again, it is a very durable paint that has a long-lasting finish and is also resistant to fading.

Now you can get slight variations of Lexicon which can impact the finish that you’re going for. As Lexicon is a white base with black tint, as you go down in strength, it will get lighter and whiter. They still all have a cool blue and grey undertone which will suit any modern project. The Lexicon Half and Lexicon Quarter are both very trendy colours that our teams use regularly.

Natural White

Natural White solves that problem of trying to find the perfect balance of a white that’s not too bright and not too warm. As the name suggests, it is a warm and inviting white with a natural undertone that creates a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. You can still achieve that bright space without the harshness of the black undertones.

This is a very versatile white as it can be used for spaces that receive a lot of sunlight but can also be used in darker spaces to create a brighter and more inviting surrounding. It pairs well with a variety of other colours, making it an excellent choice for creating a cohesive colour scheme throughout your home.
